Random information on the term “Connected”:

Connected (traditional Chinese: 保持通話; simplified Chinese: 保持通话) is a 2008 Hong Kong action film, and a remake of the 2004 American film Cellular co-written, produced and directed by Benny Chan. The film stars Louis Koo, Barbie Shu, Nick Cheung and Liu Ye. Connected tells the story of Bob (Koo), a single father who receives a distressing phone call on his cellular phone from Grace Wong (Hsu), a woman who has been kidnapped by a gang of corrupt Interpol agents who have a hidden agenda.

The film began development at Warner China Film HG, the Chinese production arm of Warner Bros., who felt that a remake of Cellular would reach out to Hong Kong’s cell phone user population, and decided to hire Benny Chan to develop a screenplay for the film. Chan and his screenwriters spent two years working on the script. For Connected, Chan wanted to improve on the previous film by making the characters and the situations in his remake seem more believable. Principal photography took place in Hong Kong.

Random information on the term “MET”:

Manhattan Ensemble Theatre (“MET”) was an award-winning,[1][2][3] nonprofit, theatre company based in New York City from 1999 to 2007. The company was founded as an Off-Broadway, Equity repertory company in 1999 by writer-producer David Fishelson with the stated mission of creating theatrical adaptations of stories found in fiction, journalism, film, biography and memoir.[4][5][6]

In its short history, MET featured several well-known stars in its productions, including Jim Parsons (CBS’s The Big Bang Theory),[17] Mireille Enos (AMC’s The Killing),[6] and Robert Prosky (Hill Street Blues, Broadcast News, Dead Man Walking).[9][18]

The 2003-4 season saw frequent transfers of shows from the 140-seat MET home, as described in Playbill:

With Golda’s Balcony (which opened at the Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway on Oct. 15), MET has two hits based on the lives of renowned historical figures. Its first offering this season, Hank Williams: Lost Highway, about the troubled country singer and composer, was hailed and quickly transferred following an extended run. It is currently playing the Little Shubert Off-Broadway. (In fact, the runaway success of MET’s first two shows caused the nonprofit to postpone its third selection until the (2004-05) season.)[19]
