Random information on the term “SET”:

In mathematics, a set is a well-defined collection of distinct objects, considered as an object in its own right. For example, the numbers 2, 4, and 6 are distinct objects when considered separately, but when they are considered collectively they form a single set of size three, written {2,4,6}. Sets are one of the most fundamental concepts in mathematics. Developed at the end of the 19th century, set theory is now a ubiquitous part of mathematics, and can be used as a foundation from which nearly all of mathematics can be derived. In mathematics education, elementary topics such as Venn diagrams are taught at a young age, while more advanced concepts are taught as part of a university degree. The German word Menge, rendered as “set” in English, was coined by Bernard Bolzano in his work The Paradoxes of the Infinite.

A set is a well-defined collection of distinct objects. The objects that make up a set (also known as the elements or members of a set) can be anything: numbers, people, letters of the alphabet, other sets, and so on. Georg Cantor, the founder of set theory, gave the following definition of a set at the beginning of his Beiträge zur Begründung der transfiniten Mengenlehre:

Random information on the term “MESS”:

MAME (an acronym of Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) is a free and open source emulator designed to recreate the hardware of arcade game systems in software on modern personal computers and other platforms. The intention is to preserve gaming history by preventing vintage games from being lost or forgotten. The aim of MAME is to be a reference to the inner workings of the emulated arcade machines; the ability to actually play the games is considered “a nice side effect”. Joystiq has listed MAME as an application that every gamer should have.

The first public MAME release (0.1) was on February 5, 1997, by Nicola Salmoria. The emulator now supports over seven thousand unique games and ten thousand actual ROM image sets, though not all of the supported games are playable. MESS, an emulator for many video game consoles and computer systems, based on the MAME core, was integrated into MAME in 2015.

The project was started by the Italian programmer Nicola Salmoria. MAME traces its roots to an earlier emulator project called Multi-Pac, but the name was changed as more and more games started to be emulated within the MAME framework. In April 1997, Salmoria stepped down for his national service commitments, handing stewardship of the project to fellow Italian Mirko Buffoni for a period of half a year. In May 2003, David Haywood took over the job of the coordinator. From April 2005 to April 2011, the project was coordinated by Aaron Giles. Angelo Salese stepped in as the new coordinator. In 2012, Miodrag Milanovic took over. The project is supported by hundreds of developers around the world and thousands of outside contributors.

Random information on the term “JAM”:

Jam is a river in central India originating in the Betul District of Madhya Pradesh. It flows through several villages and towns during its short run, ultimately draining itself off in Kanhan River. This confluence is located at the border with Maharashtra. An ambitious water project in the form of a dam has been proposed by Maharashtra in anticipation of the growing water needs of metro Nagpur. However the project has been shelved for now due to lack of co-operation from the state government in Madhya Pradesh.

The river originates through a convergence of several rivulets and streams flowing down the hill slopes situated around Chilhati village in the Betul District in Madhya Pradesh at an altitude of 762m.

Snaking along south east the river enters the Chhindwara District and hits flatter terrain where it collects two rivers, each of them being spill offs from dams. The first one is the overflow stream from an earthen dam located near Mandvi. The other, longer of the two streams, flows out from the Borgaon Dam, runs parallel to NH69, and merges with Jam river at Teegaon. Here the river widens out and continues its run southeast of the town receiving another tributary on its left bank near the village Chichkheda. It travels through the outskirts of the town Pandhura changing course to run in an eastward fashion. Just before reaching the village Jam, it receives its largest tributary River Sarpini. From here the river again flows southeast-ward passing the town Lodhikhede and ends its course by draining off in Kanhan River at the border of the two states of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

Random information on the term “CURE”:

Cure (キュア?, Kyua) is a 1997 Japanese psychological thriller film with elements of horror and film noir written and directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa, starring Koji Yakusho, Masato Hagiwara, Tsuyoshi Ujiki and Anna Nakagawa. The film was released to strong critical acclaim in both the East and the West, with critics praising Kurosawa’s direction as well as the visuals and atmosphere. In 2012, South Korean film director Bong Joon-ho listed the film as one of the greatest films of all time.

Kenichi Takabe (Koji Yakusho) is an emotionally repressed police detective with a mentally unstable wife. Takabe investigates a series of bizarre murders. Though each victim is killed in the same way, with a large “X” carved into their neck, the perpetrator is different each time. In every case the murderers are caught close to the scene of the crime, and although they readily confess to committing the crimes, they never have a substantial motive and cannot explain what drove them to kill.

Random information on the term “PUT”:

In finance, a put or put option is a stock market device which gives the owner of a put the right, but not the obligation, to sell an asset (the underlying), at a specified price (the strike), by a predetermined date (the expiry or maturity) to a given party (the seller of the put). The purchase of a put option is interpreted as a negative sentiment about the future value of the underlying. The term “put” comes from the fact that the owner has the right to “put up for sale” the stock or index.

Put options are most commonly used in the stock market to protect against the decline of the price of a stock below a specified price. If the price of the stock declines below the specified price of the put option, the owner/buyer of the put has the right, but not the obligation, to sell the asset at the specified price, while the seller of the put has the obligation to purchase the asset at the strike price if the owner uses the right to do so (the owner/buyer is said to exercise the put or put option). In this way the buyer of the put will receive at least the strike price specified, even if the asset is currently worthless.

Disambiguation in Wikipedia is the process of resolving the conflicts that occur when articles about two or more different topics could have the same “natural” page title. This category contains disambiguation pages: non-article pages containing links to other Wikipedia articles and disambiguation pages.

Disambiguation pages are added to Category:Disambiguation pages by placing the {{Disambiguation}} template on the page itself. Other templates are available that place articles in more specific disambiguation subcategories. A page may also be assessed as “disambiguation-class” by various WikiProjects by including “|class=Disambig” in a WikiProject template on the talk page of the disambiguation page. This places the talk page in a subcategory of Category:Disambig-Class articles.

Random information on the term “SPAY”:

The transport in Peru.

total: 2,374 km
standard gauge: 1,608 km, 4 ft 8 1⁄2 in (1,435 mm) gauge
narrow gauge: 380 km, 3 ft (914 mm) gauge

There are two unconnected principal railways in Peru.

The Ferrocarril Central Andino (FCCA; the former Ferrocarril Central del Perú) runs inland from Callao and Lima across the Andes watershed to La Oroya and Huancayo. It is the second highest railway in the world (following opening of the Qingzang railway in Tibet), with the Galera summit tunnel under Mount Meiggs at 4,783 m (15,692 ft) and Galera station at 4,777 m (15,673 ft) above sea level. In 1955 the railway opened a spur line from La Cima on the Morococha branch (4,818 m (15,807 ft) above sea level) to Volcán Mine, reaching an (at the time) world record altitude of 4,830 m (15,850 ft). Both branch and spur have since closed to traffic.[page needed] From Huancayo the route is extended by the Ferrocarril Huancayo – Huancavelica. In July 2006 FCCA began work to regauge the Huancavelica line from 3 ft (0.91 m) to standard gauge and it was finished in 2010. There was also a proposal for a 21 km tunnel under the Andes.

Random information on the term “BIND”:

This article presents a comparison of the features, platform support, and packaging of independent implementations of Domain Name System (DNS) name server software.

Each of these DNS servers is an independent implementation of the DNS protocols, capable of resolving DNS names for other computers, publishing the DNS names of computers, or both. Excluded from consideration are single-feature DNS tools (such as proxies, filters, and firewalls) and redistributions of servers listed here (many products repackage BIND, for instance, with proprietary user interfaces).

DNS servers are grouped into several categories of specialization of servicing domain name system queries. The two principal roles, which may be implemented either uniquely or combined in a given product are:

AnswerX is Akamai’s recursive DNS resolver (rDNS). It has evolved from the Xerocole acquisition. AnswerX is a modern resolver, supporting DNSSEC, IPv6, and full subscriber aware policy controls. It can be used for DNS firewall functionality, extensive logging, and a platform for service creation. AnswerX is sold as software working on common servers (no specialized hardware). The software is built to process millions of transactions per second on standard hardware.
