Random information on the term “OVER”:

Over is a large village near the River Great Ouse in the English county of Cambridgeshire, just east of the Prime Meridian.

The parish covers an area of approximately 2,535 acres (1,026 ha). It is ten miles (16 km) east of the town of Huntingdon and is also ten miles (16 km) northwest from the city of Cambridge.

Over contains the basic village facilities, including a primary school, shop, one public house (the Admiral Vernon) and St. Mary’s Church. In recent years, the village has expanded rapidly, with the inclusion of several housing estates, a community and conference centre and modern sporting facilities. An Over day centre was set up in 1989 by Dr. Pamela Cressey. The Over Community Centre was set up with National Lottery funding of almost £1 million in 1999.

Some archaeologists[who?] believe that the ridge of slightly higher land upon which the village stands was the furthest intrusion inland of the sea — unlike the villages in the fens, which were often surrounded by watery land after the sea receded. Over was an edge-of-fen settlement.

Random information on the term “WAS”:

David Jay Weiss, known as David Was, is an American musician. With his stage-brother Don Was, he was the founder of the 1980s pop group Was (Not Was).

Was was born in Detroit, Michigan. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Was left his native Detroit for California, and found employment as the jazz critic for the now-defunct Hearst daily the Los Angeles Herald Examiner, where he forged friendships with Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis and Mel Tormé.

With his childhood friend Don Was he went on to form Was (Not Was), composing the lyrics and music and playing various instruments, primarily flute, keyboards and harmonica. Reviewed by The New York Times in 1980 as “the funkier art-funk band,” Was (Not Was) used members of Funkadelic, alongside jazz musicians like trumpeter Marcus Belgrave; and singers Mel Tormé and Ozzy Osbourne. They released five albums and enjoyed four Top 10 singles worldwide. Their most recent album, Boo!, was issued in 2008 and ranked among that year’s top ten releases on many critics’ lists. Their 1989 release, What Up, Dog? featured two top 10 singles, the latter of which, “Walk the Dinosaur,” has been re-recorded by Queen Latifah for the animated feature, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and has been licensed for use in a half-dozen other feature films.

The Bronze Age is a historical period characterized by the use of bronze, proto-writing, and other early features of urban civilization. The Bronze Age is the second principal period of the three-age Stone-Bronze-Iron system, as proposed in modern times by Christian Jürgensen Thomsen, for classifying and studying ancient societies.

An ancient civilization is defined to be in the Bronze Age either by smelting its own copper and alloying with tin, arsenic, or other metals, or by trading for bronze from production areas elsewhere. Copper-tin ores are rare, as reflected in the fact that there were no tin bronzes in Western Asia before trading in bronze began in the third millennium BC. Worldwide, the Bronze Age generally followed the Neolithic period, with the Chalcolithic serving as a transition. Although the Iron Age generally followed the Bronze Age, in some areas (such as Sub-Saharan Africa), the Iron Age intruded directly on the Neolithic.
