Random information on the term “LIED”:

Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) systems record an aircraft’s in-flight data. They are often used by the military for aerial combat training and analysis.

ACMI usually includes 4 major subsystems.

Autonomous air combat maneuvering instrumentation (AACMI) are second-generation GPS-based ACMI systems.

Unlike first-generation ACMI systems, which use ground radars to track and record the position of the aircraft on the range, AACMI systems use aircraft-mounted satellite navigation systems such as the US NAVSTAR GPS system. Recording of aircraft tracks can therefore be independent of ground-based radar, and are sometimes called range-less or autonomous. Radio transmissions from the aircraft report its position in three dimensions to other aircraft on the range and also to ground control. This enables real-time air-to-air exercises to be carried out and also complex ground debriefs (after-action review or AAR) based on data recorded at the time. Such de-briefs involve the use of modern graphics and display techniques that can bring out training and other points to aircrew and ground staff.

Random information on the term “SMUG”:

Freedom and Roam Uganda (FARUG) is a human rights organization that addresses discrimination against lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LBTIQ) people in Uganda.

FARUG was founded in 2003 by Kasha Jacqueline Nabagesera, a Ugandan lesbian advocate. The group’s current executive director is Ssenfuka J Warry.

After witnessing and experiencing the harassment, discrimination and violence Ugandan women face because of their gender identity or sexual orientation, Nabagesera set out with a group of her friends to advocate on their behalf.

Today FARUG identifies as the only local organization fully dedicated to LBTI issues in Uganda.

FARUG’s work includes raising awareness throughout the country about LBTI women, sexual and reproductive health, homophobia, and transphobia; increasing visibility in the media; lobbying locally, regionally and internationally; conducting skills and knowledge-sharing workshops, seminars and conferences; and challenging what the group sees as anti-LBTI beliefs and stigma on a day-to-day basis .

Random information on the term “VAIN”:

Ovarian serous cystadenoma, also (less precisely) known as serous cystadenoma, is the most common ovarian neoplasm, representing 20% of ovarian neoplasms, and is benign.

It has a very superficial resemblance to the most common type of ovarian cancer (serous carcinoma of the ovary) under the microscope; however, (1) it is virtually impossible to mix-up with its malignant counterpart (serous carcinoma), and (2) does not share genetic traits of indeterminate serous tumours, also called serous borderline tumours, that may transform into serous carcinoma.

Serous cystadenomas (of the ovary) are not related to serous cystadenomas of the pancreas, i.e. the presence of an ovarian or pancreatic one does not suggest an increased risk for the other one.

Serous cystadenomas are diagnosed by histomorphologic examination, by pathologists. Grossly, they are, usually, unilocular cysts that contain clear, straw-coloured fluid. Microscopically, the cyst lining consists of a simple epithelium with cilia that may be columnar or flat.
