Random information on the term “MAR”:

West Syriac: Mor (as pronounced respectively in eastern and western dialects, from Syriac: ܡܪܝ‎ or East Syriac: Mar, Mār(y), written with a silent final yodh) is a title of respect in Syriac, literally meaning ‘my lord’. It is given to all saints and is also used before Christian name of bishops. The corresponding feminine form given to women saints is Mart or Mort (Syriac: ܡܪܬܝ‎, Mārt(y)). The title is placed before the Christian name, as in Mar Aprem/Mor Afrem and Mart/Mort Maryam.

The variant Maran or Moran (Syriac: ܡܪܢ‎, Māran), meaning “Our Lord”, is a particular title given to Jesus, either alone or in combination with other names and titles. Likewise, Martan or Mortan (Syriac: ܡܪܬܢ‎, Mārtan, “Our Lady”) is a title of Mary.

Occasionally, the term Maran or Moran has been used of various patriarchs and catholicoi. The Syriac Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch, the Malankara Orthodox Catholicos and the Syro-Malankara Major Archbishop Catholicos use the title Moran Mor. Sometimes the Indian bearers of this title are called Moran Mar, using a hybrid style from both Syriac dialects that reflects somewhat the history of Syrian Christians in Kerala. The Pope of Rome is referred to as Mar Papa by the Nasrani Saint Thomas Christians of India.

Random information on the term “SPOT”:

The Spot is a locality in south-eastern Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The Spot is located in the south-eastern part of the suburb of Randwick, around the intersection of Perouse Road and St Pauls Street. It is a vibrant part of Randwick and consists of a collection of shops, restaurants, cafes and a cinema.

The Spot is a heritage conservation area and has many heritage listed buildings, such as The Ritz Cinema and Pan Arcadian House, a 1930s Masonic Temple and most notably the facade of shops on the corner of Perouse Road and St Pauls Street which follows a curved pattern, necessary for the tram route which used to extend to Coogee Beach.

The Royal Hotel and Randwick shopping centre are a short distance away. The area is well served by public transport with regular buses from the Sydney CBD and Bondi Junction.

The Spot lies at the geographic centre of a residential suburb that some maps identify as “St Pauls”. The post office located at The Spot is also officially “St Pauls 2031.” However, the Geographical Names Board of New South Wales does not list “St Pauls” as an officially registered place name within the Randwick Local Government Area.

Random information on the term “DYE”:

The DYE Matrix is an electropneumatic paintball marker manufactured by DYE Precision. The first DYE Matrix, the Matrix LCD, was based on the E Matrix, the rights to which DYE purchased in 2003. Subsequent models featured completely different bodies and milling, though internally, they function essentially the same. The DYE Matrix line is often abbreviated “DMx,” with x being a number corresponding to that year’s model (e.g. the 2007 model is abbreviated DM7, the 2006 model is the DM6, etc.). To date, there have been eleven versions of the DYE Matrix, starting with the Matrix LCD, and the newest version released in 2014, the DM14.

While annual release paintball markers were commonplace for most of the 2000s, the Dye Matrix line is the only paintball gun that continues to release annual revisions. Its biggest competitor, the Planet Eclipse Ego, ended annual releases with the 2011 model.

All Matrixes dating back to the E Matrix have been designed around a balanced spool valve design. Rather than utilize a hammer that strikes a poppet valve, the bolt functions simultaneously as the valve, alternately opening and closing based on air flow from the solenoid. The solenoid is controlled through electronics, activated by a trigger microswitch.

Random information on the term “STIGMA”:

In professional wrestling a DDT is any move in which the wrestler has the opponent in a front facelock/inverted headlock, and falls down or backwards to drive the opponent’s head into the mat. The classic DDT is performed by putting the opponent in a front facelock and falling backwards so that the opponent is forced to dive forward onto his or her head. Although widely credited as an invention of Jake Roberts, who gave the DDT its famous name, the earliest known practitioner of the move was Mexican wrestler Black Gordman, who frequently performed it during the 1970s.

Rumors abound as to what the letters DDT supposedly stood for, including Drape Drop Takedown, Drop Dead Twice, Definitely Dead Tomorrow, Demonic Death Trap, Drop Down Town, Death Drop Technique and Damien’s Dinner Time or Damien’s Death Touch (the latter two named after Jake’s pet python Damien). When asked what DDT meant, Jake once famously replied “The End.” The abbreviation itself originally came from the chemical dichloro-diphenyl-trichloroethane, a notorious pesticide, as stated during shoot interviews and Jake’s Pick Your Poison DVD. Many think that the term DDT was applied because the chemical DDT is a hazardous chemical buried in the ground which potentially causes brain damage.
