Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) is a national nonprofit health system with headquarters in Englewood, Colorado. CHI is a nonprofit, faith-based health system formed in 1996 through the consolidation of four Catholic health systems. It is one of the nation’s largest healthcare systems.[citation needed]
In 2018 Dignity Health and Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) received approval from the Catholic Church through the Vatican to merge. When completed the new hospital network will be the largest non-profit hospital system in the United States based on revenue.
