The Defence Helicopter Flying School at RAF Shawbury, a Royal Air Force station near Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England, trains aircrew from all three of the Armed Forces.

The DHFS has three flying squadrons:

Training is undertaken on the Squirrel HT1 and for the Royal Air Force students the Griffin HT1 (a twin engine modern version of the famous “Huey” helicopter). Training is typically 6 months for the Army and Navy, as students then move to their advanced single-service training, and 18 months for the RAF.

In addition, Search and Rescue training for all RAF aircrew takes place at RAF Valley on the Search and Rescue Training Unit (SARTU)

All aircrew instruction is carried out by Central Flying School (Helicopters) (CFS(H)) Instructors. These Instructors are a mix of military personnel and 40% Cobham CFS(H) accredited contractor personnel.

All the Defence Helicopter Flying School Helicopters and Synthetic Training Equipment are owned by Cobham Aviation Services – Helicopter Services (formerly FB Heliservices), who provide 40% of the instructional staff, all the ground school and simulator staff, carry out all maintenance and provide support services.

The Call of Duty Championship is an annual Call of Duty tournament. There are regional tournaments in Asia Pacific, Brazil, Europe, and North America to determine qualification and seeding at the world championships. Players must be at least 18 years of age as of the beginning of the tournament in order to participate.

The inaugural tournament was held in 2013 on Call of Duty: Black Ops II for the Xbox 360 and was won by Fariko Impact. Complexity Gaming won the 2014 event.

The 2015 iteration of the event was won by Denial eSports with team consisting of Chris “Replays” Crowder, Dillon “Attach” Price, James “Clayster” Eubanks, and Jordan “JKap” Kaplan.

The 2016 iteration occurred 2nd-4th September 2016, unlike previous ones held in the spring, with a two million dollar prize pool. It was announced on 8th June 2016 that the championship will take place along with Call of Duty XP which will reveal the Infinite Warfare Multiplayer Trailer. Team EnvyUs won the event. The team consisted of John, JKap, SlasheR, and Apathy. John was named MVP of the Event.
